asterion

This is the first hybrid concept car
It was a bit of a departure from the usual hardcore Lamborghini formula, focusing more on grand touring and efficiency rather than all-out aggression.
The Asterion had a smoother, more elegant design, unlike Lamborghini’s usual sharp and extreme styling.
It had a GT-like appearance, resembling a mix between a Miura and a modern Huracán.
The name “Asterion” comes from Greek mythology, referring to the Minotaur,
a mix of human and bull—symbolizing the hybrid nature of the car.
Lamborghini ultimately decided against building the Asterion because they felt it didn’t fit the brand’s identity.
They wanted to focus on raw, emotional driving rather than making a plug-in hybrid GT.
Instead, they shifted toward electrification with the Sian and later the Revuelto, which fully embraced hybrid tech while keeping that Lamborghini edge.
